He was predeceased by: his parents, LaVerne Markestad and Marvin Markestad. He is survived by: his wife Donna; his daughter Cathy Tyson (Virgil); his grandchildren, Isaiah and Leahna; and his brothers, Marvin "Corky" Markestad Jr. and Russell. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
