He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Johnson and Emma Johnson; and his siblings, Martin, Elenore, Virgil, Viola and June.

He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Cindy, Brian and Bruce; his siblings, Alan Johnson and Joanne; and his grandchildren, Brock, Chandra, Jena Koehler and Kyle.
