She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Strohbeen and Dorothy Strohbeen (Wabschall); her son Steven; her husband Richard Paul Donath; and her brothers, Jerry and Calvin.
She is survived by: her children, Susan (Ken), Stanley (Pam), Scott (Lynda), Sheldon (Joy) and Sherman; and her sisters-in-law, Mertis Donath and Edna "Boots" Kahl. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
