He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Malzahn and Elizabeth Malzahn (Remkus); his siblings, Kay Kane and Frank John Malzahn; and his siblings-in-law, Richard "Dick" Angst, Gary Anderson, Roy Olivares, Jack Worden and Barbara Olivares.
He is survived by: his wife Dee; his children, Marty Malzahn (Linda) and Angela Malzahn; his grandsons, Christopher and Michael; his great grandchildren, Lukas, Nicholas, Jackson, Callie and Mercedes; his siblings, Lois Fischer (Jerry), Joyce Angst, Mary Lou Strassle (David), Marlene Malzahn (Bob Nuthals), Sharon Anderson, Susan Malzahn, Jean Kampe (Steve), Mark Malzahn (Babette) and Michael Malzahn; and his siblings-in-law, Ophelia Jones (Edward), Olga Worden, Gene Kane and Bob Olivares (Jean). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
