He is survived by: his wife Darlene Schmidt; his children, Carl Meidl of Antigo, Brian Meidl (Michele) of Antigo and Tanya Meidl (Richard Rector) of Merrill; his grandchildren, Holden Meidl (Hannah Abbott), Sydney Meidl, Meredith Meidl, Zachary Meidl (Patti), Joshua Taft (Alyssa), Kayden Little (Ashlynn) and Rachel Little; his siblings, Kathleen Keen (Rodney) of Antigo, Cheryl Guethner of Antigo, Patricia Jakubek (David) of Phlox, John Meidl (Lupi) of Arizona, Rodney Meidl (Pamela) of Antigo, Joseph Meidl Jr. (Elizabeth) of Phlox and Robert Meidl (Samantha) of Columbia, MS; and his brother-in-law Jamie Arrowood of Antigo. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bradley Funeral Home & Crematory (1550 Neva Rd, Antigo, WI 54409). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 11:45 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery (W7365 WI-47, Phlox, WI 54464).
