He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Simon and Edith Simon (Walker); his siblings, Carnan Simon (Ronald Simon), Roger and Conrad Simon; and his siblings-in-law, Audrey, Barbara, Kay Simon and Larry Nelson.

He is survived by: his wife Rita Stefl; his daughters, Sandra Casey (Keith) of Oshkosh, Pamela Peters (Shawn) of Stevens Point and Wendy Christianson (Kyle) of Custer; his grandchildren, Ashlyn Wilbert (Kaleb) of Kansas City, MO, Alyssa Casey of Bozeman, MT, Anna Peters of Stevens Point, Elise and Elliot Christianson of Custer; his siblings, Alice Zuelsdorff (Joe) of Merrill, Jerome Simon of Arizona and Kenneth Simon (Karen) of Arizona; and his sisters-in-law, Beverly Bostwick and Marilyn Shimeck (Ed) of Reno, NV..
