He was predeceased by: his parents, John Markgraf and Regina Markgraf (Schisel); and his siblings, Delores, Sandy, Ronnie and Greg.
He is survived by: his friends, Jerry and Phyllis; his wife Phyllis Noskowiak of Hyacinth's Catholic Church; his children, Kurt Markgraf of Antigo, Lori Ford (Bernie) of Wausau, Randy Markgraf (Shelley) of Cape Coral, FL, Ricky Markgraf (Charlene) of Farmington, NY, Rodney Markgraf (Christine) of Pine Plains, NY, Jody Markgraf of Antigo and Kelly Markgraf (Ramon Vazquez) of Shortsville, NY; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Ford, Matthew Ford, Jeffrey Ford, Heather Willenbacher, Mikaela Markgraf, Jordan Markgraf, Kevin Markgraf, Kyle Markgraf, Maggie Markgraf and Dominic Vazquez; his great grandchildren, Loralei and Lucy Willenbacher; and his siblings, Mary Lee Jensen, Maxine Rice, Sharon Powell (Rich), Debbie Thom, Teri Cernoch (Tom) and David Markgraf (Linda). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph's Holy Family Catholic Church (W7365 State Highway Hwy 47, Phlox, WI 54464). A Mass will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in Gerald's name.
