He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Diestler and Agnes Diestler (Brunner); and his siblings, Darrell Diestler, Douglas Diestler and Cynthia Diestler.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Fleischman; his children, Tammy Leavitt (Greg) of Stevens Point and Jamie Diestler of Antigo; his grandchildren, Megan Romportl, Jordan Diestler, David Marten and Ryan Resch (Kaylee); his great grandchildren, Braylon, Braxton Romportl and Cameron James Resch; and his sister Rosalie Hagen of Marathon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
