We bid farewell to James E. Horton of Antigo, Wisconsin, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 6, 2026 at the age of 89. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Horton and Marion Horton (Plzak); his brothers, Thomas Horton (Charlotte) and Richard Horton (Jean); his siblings-in-law, Diane Horton, June Kullander (Ralph) and Joe Kapusta; and his nephew Kelly Kullander.
He is survived by: his wife Barb of Hyacinth's Catholic Church; his children, Linda Meyers (Duane) of Sun Prairie and James A. Horton (Jenny) of Maple Grove, MN; his grandchildren, Alyssa Horton of New York, NY, Jaimie Horton of Maple Grove, MN, Alec Horton (Karlie) of Wilmette, IL, Kristyn Meyers of Jackson, TN and Kory Meyers of Sun Prairie, WI; his great grandchildren, Olivia Horton and James T. Horton; his brother Dennis Horton; and his sister-in-law Beverly Kapusta. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Langlade County Humane Society.
