We announce the death of Janet Griesel of Antigo, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 4, 2026, at the age of 74. Janet will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Janet will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Janet will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Janet’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Millie Gruenberg Keen and Harold Keen; her husband John Griesel; and her sister Sue Siedschlag (Chuck). She is survived by: her sons, Jeffrey Lawrence (Lisa) and Jereme Lawrence (Crystal); her grandchildren, Anthony, Hazel, Trin and Aodhan; and her siblings, Tom Keen (Gail) and Kathy Keddell (John).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Valley Funeral Home (2211 N Richmond St, Appleton, WI 54911). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 4:30 PM at the same location.
