He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wendt and Frieda Wendt (Helmig); his siblings, Violet Viitanen, Doris Vollmer (Martin), Wilburn "Bud" Wendt, Donald Wendt and Eugene Wendt (Judy); and his brother-in-law Arthur Dahlke.
He is survived by: his sisters, Eleanor Dahlke of Antigo and Jane Dreiske of Palm Springs, California; his sisters-in-law, Lois Wendt of Kaukauna and Gerri Wendt of Sturgeon Bay; and his friend Tom Cernoch (Scott Hoffman). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
