She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Wiesmann (Lacy) and Wilbert Wiesmann; her husband Gerald Gau; her daughter-in-law Donna Gau; and her grandparents, Henry, Lena Wiesmann, John and Genevieve Lacy.

She is survived by: her children, Andrew Gau (Julie) of Sobieski, Brian Gau of Oneida, Carla Wallenfang (Bradley) of Tomahawk, Debra Gau of Green Bay, Ernest Gau (Melinda) of Green Bay and Frances Eighmy (Paul) of Elcho; her grandchildren, Tyler, Travis, Trisha, Tara Gau, Quinton, Elena Wallenfang, Ian Arnforfer, Austin Lee, Arlo, Madeline Gau, Jacob (Madeline), Kaleb, Lauren and Joshua Eighmy; and her great grandchildren, Avrielle Younger, Lincoln and Hattie Dombrowski.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Rebecca's name can be directed to the Elcho Booster Club.
