She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence DuFrane and Johanna DuFrane (Wyngaard); her former husband Leander Schmidt; her husband Joseph L. Smarzinski; her sons, Dennis Schmidt and Patrick Schmidt (Lynn); her stepsons-in-law, Gary Stelow and Pete Grapengieser; her siblings, Frances Zwiers (Carl), Myrtle Sauer (Herman), Rosella Verstegen (Ronnie), Levi DuFrane (Mitzi), Ruben DuFrane (Aileen), Harold DuFrane (June), Lawrence "Tootie" DuFrane (Marian) and Edward "Sonny" DuFrane (Cathy); her brother-in-law Jim Boudry; and her pets, Sassy, Muffin, Boomer and Charlie.
She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Schmidt (Donna) and Barb Mauthe (Larry "Bear"); her daughter-in-law Barbara Schmidt; her stepchildren, Paul Smarzinski, Geraldine Sim (George), Kathy Stelow, Margie Grapengieser (Terry) and Annette Grapengieser; her grandchildren, Peter Schmidt (Kara), Michael Mauthe, Steven Schmidt (Stephanie), Christine Andrews (Bob), Heide Welk (Dave), John Mauthe (Katie), Casey Schmidt (Stephanie), Craig Schmidt, Josh Schmidt (Amy) and Patrick Grapengieser (Carly); her great grandchildren, Grant, Chrysa, McKenna, Keira, Morgan, Alex J., Evan, Isabella, Anderson, Chrischianna, Alex T., Mallory, PJ, Ben and Leona; her sister Delores Boudry; and her sister-in-law Lorraine Rehfeldt. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to St. Jude Hospital in Agnes' name.
