With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alton C. Thompson (Appleton, Wisconsin), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 16, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Inez Genevieve Thompson (Hasselquist) and Marvin Clifford Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Linda L. Thompson (Jones); his children, Andrew C. Thompson (Jennifer K.), Rebecca L. T. Cho (Sunmin Cho) of Wayland and Sarah N. Thompson of West Allis; his grandchildren, Julia Thompson, Michael Thompson of Kimberly, Evelyn Cho, Karina Cho and Sean Cho of Wayland, MA.; and his siblings, Greta Aberg, Marlo Thompson, Lynn Thompson and Philip Thompson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Valley Funeral Home (2211 N Richmond St, Appleton, WI 54911). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
