She was predeceased by: her parents, Madeline Cappaert and Albert Cappaert; her husband Kenny; her brother Joe Cappaert (Leone); her daughter Cindy LeClair; her son-in-law Glen Ulman; her in-laws, Norbert Merkes (Carmen), Dick Merkes (Carol), Lilas Van Straten (Glen) and Joyce Van Fossen (Bob); her cousin Jeanne Heyndrickx (Jozef); Della and Walter Merkes.
She is survived by: her children, Jane Gahr, Tom Merkes (Marilyn), Peg Ulman, Chuck Merkes (Kathy) and Joe Merkes (Joe Amann); her son-in-law Larry Le Clair; her grandchildren, Scott Gahr (Kay), Jeff Gahr (Anne), Dawn Hanneman (Chad), Jennifer Smith (Aaron), Brian Ulman, Judy Hintz (Andy), Tyler Merkes (Amanda), Kurt Merkes and Kadin Merkes; her great grandchildren, Kamden Gahr (Camille), Logan Gahr, Luke Gahr, Alexis Hanneman (Tyler Robertson), Colton Hanneman, Lily Hanneman, Charlie Hintz, Oliver Hintz, Lowell Merkes, Marsden Merkes, Elwyn Merkes and Sylvie Merkes; her great great grandchildren, Ryder Robertson, Oakley Robertson and Willow Robertson; and her brother-in-law Jim Merkes (Mary). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the St. Pius X Catholic Church (500 W Marquette St, Appleton, WI 54911). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
