He was predeceased by: his father Bernard "Benny" Sanapaw, Sr.; his sisters, Ann Spencer and Pamela Daub; and his grandparents, Ruth Lawe Tepiew and Francis "Potchie" Tepiew.
He is survived by: his mother Velma Sanapaw (Lawe); his siblings, Roger Sanapaw (Annie), Dennis Sanapaw, Mike Sanapaw, Jamie Sanapaw, Ruth Sanapaw, Brenda Lawe, Lynnette Maskewit (John), Loretta Hopinka and Aaron Weso; his godchildren, Sasha Sanapaw, Josh Lawe, Alicia Hopinka and Carol James; his siblings' children, Cruz Hopinka, Aurelio Weso, Alejandro Weso and Valentina; and his friend Sean Degrand. He is also survived by numerous nieces, cousins, aunties, uncles, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Family Residence (N594 Chief Shunien, Keshena, WI 54135). A prayer was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church (W6799 Church Street, Neopit, WI 54150).
