It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Jean Kauppila of Appleton, Wisconsin, born in Iron River, Michigan, who passed away on July 3, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Tessmer and Margaret Tessmer (Curtiss); her husband James F. Kauppila; her daughter Jami Van Pool; and her siblings, Adeline, Irene and Donald.
She is survived by: her children, Carrie Hodge (Douglas) of Oak Ridge, TN, Wendy Hanson of Appleton, WI and James Kauppila (Brandie) of Manhattan, IL; her grandchildren, Natalia, Madeline, Ralph III, Nicolas, Kaleigh, Jon, Meghan, Summer, Brady, Morgan and Megan; and her siblings, Elaine, Paul, Charlotte, Christine, Fred and Clifford. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
