He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Bayer and Laura Bayer (Watson); his siblings, Sylvester (Jeanne), Gerald "Babe" Bayer (Lois) and Delores Mutschler (Lou); his brother-in-law Ronald Velie; Glen Nau and Jean Maves (Duane).
He is survived by: his wife Joyce R. Nau of Mary's Catholic Church; his children, Lori Bayer-Medo (Chris) and Mark Bayer; his grandchildren, Melissa Vinson (Joe), Ryan Bayer (Erin) and Austin Bayer; his great grandchild Abigail Joyce; his sisters-in-law, Margaret Nau (Peggy) and Alice Velie; and his godson James Bayer. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wichman’s Funeral Home (537 N Superior St, Appleton, WI 54911). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Wichman's Funeral Home (537 N Superior St, Appleton, WI 54911).
