He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Smith and Anne Marvin (Smith); his sister Betty Egan (Cleon); his stepbrother William Marvin; and also, Helen, George Quimby, Donald Quimby, Joan Meshak (Norman), David Quimby, Mary Quimby and Ann "Queenie" Pozorski (Kenneth).
He is survived by: his wife Shirley A. Quimby; his children, Sharon Hintz (Martin), Barbara Smith, Susan Emmers (William), Kathleen Riske (James) and Daniel Smith (Deanna); his grandchildren, Michael Hintz (Jenny), Andrew Hintz (Judy), Kurtis Hintz (Sarah), Ashley Beyer (Ryan McMan), Jacqueline Schlotthauer (Jacob), Elizabeth Beyer, Tanya Clow (Jordan), Stephanie Emmers, Anthony Riske, Alexander Riske, Derek Smith and Dane Smith; his great grandchildren, Thomas Hintz, Abbigail Hintz, Samuel Hintz, Charles Hintz, Oliver Hintz, Jack Hintz, Katelynn Hintz, Lacey Beyer, Braxton Bradley, Makenna Clow and Marshall Clow; his half-brother Roman Smith; his siblings-in-law, Thomas Quimby, Bonnie Quimby and Gerrie Quimby; and his grandchildren, Michael John Smith and Sara Ann Emmers. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church (1810 N McDonald St, Appleton, WI 54911). A Mass will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
