Though Darlene may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Darlene touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Paulson and Alice Paulson (Bogenschutz); her pet Cooper; her sister Jane; her brothers-in-law, Marv Timm and Phil Schmidt; and her nephew Scott Hietpas.
She is survived by: her daughter Kim Keen; and her siblings, Mary Hietpas (Jerry), Shirley Schmidt, Joe Paulson (Jan) and Carol Keough (Bob). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Valley Funeral Home (2211 N Richmond St, Appleton, WI 54911). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
