He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Ryzin and Grace Van Ryzin (Wenzlaff); his former wife Barbara Kufner; his wife June; and his siblings, Roger Van Ryzin, Terrence Van Ryzin, Dolores Van Eperen (Allen) and Sharon Johnson (Norbert).
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Beck (Kim), Bruce Van Ryzin (Patty), Jeff Van Ryzin, Steve Van Ryzin (Dee) and Michelle Thompsen (Erick); his grandchildren, Jacob Van Ryzin, Josh Van Ryzin (Becki), Troy Thompsen (Allison Blaser), Jack Thompsen, Grace Thompsen and Benedict Beck (Colleen Klocko); his great grandchild Theo Van Ryzin; his siblings-in-law, Jean Wojahn, Glenda Kufner, John Kufner and Ernie Meulemans; and his godchildren, Hiebing, Greg Hiebing (Joan), Cindy Heegeman (Ted), Pam Cornell (Jay) and Toni Meinke (Lonnie).
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Vets & Friends of Wisconsin Inc. (vetsandfriendsofwisconsin.org), where Dave enjoyed weekly meals on Wednesdays and camaraderie with his fellow veterans.
