He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Verhagen and Margaret Verhagen (Burke); his sisters-in-law, Margaret Verhagen and Rosemary Verhagen; his niece Barbara Weyenberg; and his great-nephew Jonathon Trams.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lynn Frieders of Patrick's Catholic Church; his children, Paul Verhagen (Cynthia), Michele Matz and Eric Verhagen (Lanan Dixon); his grandchildren, Nicholas, Miranda Verhagen, Kyla Korth (Brandon), Jacob, Dennis Matz, Alyson Van Groll (Aaron) and Samantha Hartley; his great grandchildren, Nova, Everleigh, Alexander, JoyAnna and Rosemary; and his brother David Verhagen. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and godchildren.
