He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Theodore Herrling and Vernie Dassow Herrling; his brother Dennis; and his sisters-in-law, Nora Herrling and Linda Scott (John).
He is survived by: his wife Eileen; his sons, Douglas and Andy (Kay); his nephew Kevin Herrling (Pam); his great-nephews, Don, Austin (Holly) and Aaron; his nieces and nephews, Mike Neau (Yvonne), Johnny Scott, Stacia Herrling (Mike Sabosiwizc), Faith Herrling, Vicki Neau (Bob Mull) and Becky Scott; and his brother-in-law Eugene Neau (Yvonne).
