It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna L. Christensen-Vonck of Appleton, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 8, 2022, at the age of 107, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Walter Schoenebeck and Lulu Schoenebeck; her former husband Valdemar Christensen (Wally); her children, Valerie Allen, Ronald Christensen (Karen) and Imogene Solberg (Von); her stepdaughter Mary Abel (Don); and her sister-in-law Donna Schoenebeck. She was also cherished by 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews who think of her as a second grandmother.
Edna grew up during a tumultuous time in American history that included World War I, the 1918 influenza pandemic, and the Great Depression.
