George L. Schmit Obituary
In loving memory of George L. Schmit of Appleton, Wisconsin, who departed this world on March 21, 2025 at the age of 82. George leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mathias Schmit and Edith Schmit; his son Matt; his parents-in-law, Norman and Violet Zieroth; his brother John Schmit (Bonnie); and his brother-in-law Fran Drys.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn (Zieroth); his daughter Elizabeth Allen (Peter) of Marietta, Georgia; his grandchildren, Gabe and Sammy Allen; and his siblings-in-law, Karen Drys and Steven Zieroth (Elaine). He is also survived by nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
