In loving memory of Helga Gertrude Castle of Appleton, Wisconsin, who departed this world on April 16, 2026 at the age of 94. Helga leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Strietzel and Marie Strietzel (Heinrich) of Germany; her husband Joseph Castle; and her brother Reinhard Strietzel. She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Kmidowski (Mark) and Scott Castle (Deena); her grandchildren, Kimberly Young (Tyler) and Michael Laine (Heather); her great grandchildren, Victoria, Trevyn and Harlow; and her siblings, Erhard Strietzel, Dolph Strietzel (Ami) and Dorothy Ternes.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly encourages charitable donations be made in Helga's honor to Wisconsin PBS (https://pbswisconsin.org) or Memorial Park in Appleton, reflecting her love for education and the beauty of the outdoors.
