He is survived by: his spouse Morla Wright; his children, Kristine M. Tjossem, Martha E. Kepner (Charlie D. Kepner) of Chicago, IL, Paul J. H. Tjossem (Paula V. Smith) of Grinnell, IA and Sara F. Tjossem (Shahid Naeem); and his grandchildren, Eric, Nora Tjossem, Peter, Elizabeth and Katherine Kepner (Lynn Hagee).
Instead of flowers, contributions to the Herbert and Morla Tjossem Discretionary Fund for Student Assistance at Lawrence University will continue their legacy of nurturing students.
