James C. DeShaney, born on September 10, 1942, passed away on September 16, 2026. James leaves behind family members and others who acknowledge this loss. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James DeShaney and June DeShaney (Delorme); his sister Barb Drew; his brother-in-law Richard Wereley; and his great grandchild Oaklynn.
He is survived by: his wife Judith; his children, Leah DeShaney, Jenna Linskens (Dale) and Joel DeShaney (Stacey); his grandchildren, Trentyn Waring (Sarah), Hope DeShaney (Maureen) and Jack Linskens; his siblings, Tim DeShaney (Sue) and Phyllis Wereley; and his siblings-in-law, James Drew and Sue Elliot (Mike). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Saviors Lutheran Church (3009 N Meade St, Appleton, WI 54911). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
