It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Herbert Mielke (Appleton, Wisconsin), who passed away on January 31, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Mielke and Cecilia Mielke (Fischer); his siblings, Rosemary Garvey (Willard), Eunice Kappell (Clifford), Dorothy Mengarelli (Albert) and Joseph; and his wife Marilyn Sorensen.
He is survived by: his sister Barbara Adrian (Jack); his brother-in-law Al Mengarelli; his daughters, Julia Slavick (David), Rebecca (Becky) and Grothe (John); his grandchildren, Sarah Malakoff (Ben) and Bradley Slavick (Megan Justus); and his great grandchildren, Norah, Arthur, Maya and Max.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to St. Paul Elder Services.
