“God Bless Spc. Swetlik and his family. I always enjoyed chatting with him at the unit on drill weekends and when we were mobilizing for deployment. He was a caring, respectful young man and I thought the world of him. His loss absolutely breaks my heart. It takes a special kind of young man to step up and take the oath to serve this country and follow through with honorable service in a difficult place like Afghanistan. His family and community should be proud of him and please know that we who served with him and knew him will never forget him.”
