He was predeceased by : his parents, John Wettering and Marie Vande Wettering (Van De Ven); his brothers, Blackie, Dick Vande Wettering (Donna) and Dan Vande Wettering (Jayne); his son Tim Vande Wettering; his sister Cleo Romenesko (Vernon); his brother-in-law Mike Lowney; and his pet Tough Stuff.

He is survived by : his children, Patti Coenen (Daniel) and Joe Vande Wettering; his daughter-in-law Brenda Vande Wettering; his grandchildren, Craig Vande Wettering (Kenlyn Bauer), Zoie Vande Wettering, Brittni Le Noble (Jake), Taylor Vande Wettering, Natalie Perez (Bruno) and George Coenen; his great grandchildren, Liliana Vande Wettering, Chloe, Kason, Camden Le Noble, Aurella and Esmee Perez; and his sister Sue Lowney of Sheep's Head.
