She was predeceased by: her mother Grace Z. Belling; her husband Don; her parents-in-law, Chester and Clara Burmeister; her sister Mary; her brother-in-law Al Golz; her brother John; and her siblings-in-law, Nancy Belling, Cleo and Jack Thompson.

She is survived by: her children, Thomas Burmeister, Sr. (Joan), John Burmeister (Elizabeth) and Donna Haberland (Gary); her grandchildren, Thomas Burmeister, Jr. (Katie), Josef Burmeister, Cole, Kristofer, Sage Burmeister, Kaylyn Pedersen (Mindy), Riley Haberland (Lucy Millard) and Sam Haberland (Lauren Vukovich); her great grandchildren, Maya Rae and Theo James "Teddy" Burmeister; her friend Jeanne Johnson; and her cousins, Sandy Van Elzen (Bill) and John Notebaart. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Jean's name to First English Lutheran Church or Heartland Hospice.
