He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Mielke and Beulah Mielke (Connel); and his siblings, Ellen and Bill. He is survived by: his wife Sally Morey; his children, John Jr. (Kris), Doug (Erin), Martha Burdick (Clark), Don, Becky Reyhons (John) and Ellen Waterman (Lisa); his grandchildren, Sarah, John, Jenna, Taylor, Troy, Jake, Eric, Laura, Mark, Hoke and Clayton; his great grandchild Will; and his sister Lois Plekenpol.
