He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Running and Alice Running (Vander Heiden); his great grandchild Bryanna Running; his sister Barb Kranzusch; and his former wife Betty Gregori.
He is survived by: his wife Jude Running; his children, Cynthia Running, Peter Running (Jody), Susan Running-Finger (Kevin) and Dan Running (Vicki); his grandchildren, Heidi Hoffmann (Sam Liester), Nate Hoffmann (Amy), Andrew Running (Cassandra), Brittany Braaten (Samuel), Miranda Running-Finger, Nora Running-Finger and Samuel Running (Alexis); his stepsons, Bill Shockley (Marcie) and Tom Shockley (Beth); his siblings, Jim Running (Kathy), Pat Rueckl, Tom Running (Susan) and Jerry Running (Beverly); Jack Shockley, Lucy Shockley, Henry Shockley and Elsa Shockley. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Jude and the family in John's memory.
