He was predeceased by: his mother Nila Gorges (Wangelin); his siblings, Donna Gorges and Gary Gorges; his parents-in-law, Raymond and Genevieve Kappell; his siblings-in-law, John Kappell, Ronald, Marlene Brooks (Lionel) and Janice Clark (Emmett); and his grandparents, Albert and Alvina Wangelin.
He is survived by: his father Andrew Gorges; his wife Bonnie; his sons, Michael Gorges (Carrie), Scott Gorges (Cindy) and Jeffrey Gorges (Mary); his grandchildren, Jacob Gorges, Grant Gorges (Kailey), Jack Gorges (Sophie Brown), Blake Gorges, Nicole Gorges, Paige McInerney (Ryan), Katie Gorges (Brian Hanlon) and Claire Morrin (Marshall); his great grandchildren, Harper, Silas and Ira LaVonne; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley, Marge Kappell, Geraldine Demers (Al) and Cheryl Gorges. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
