He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorenz Sr. Starfeldt and Edith Starfeldt (Reinke); his granddaughter Koa Voight Suárez; his siblings, Jean Moore (Richard), Beverly Salzman (Jim) and Daryl Starfeldt; and his siblings-in-law, Judith Haase (Mike), Shirley Penner (Russel), George Voight and Dean Marcks.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie; his sons, Dean Suárez-Starfeldt (Gabriela), Ross Starfeldt (Nancy) and Chad Starfeldt (Schawn); his grandchildren, Zaria Dewar (Cuyler), Benjamin Starfeldt (Amber), Eleanor Starfeldt, Jonathan Starfeldt, Sarai Schelfhout (Joshua), Caleb Starfeldt (Natalya) and Eden Oetken (Bennett); his great grandchild James Schelfhout; and his sisters-in-law, Diane Starfeldt, Barbara Marcks, Debra Brandt (Mark) and Kathy Voight (Selle). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
