She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Modl and Antoinette Modl (Giesbers); her husband Gerald; her son David; her in-laws, Frank and Cecilia Engel; her siblings, Eunice Degroot (Mick), Mildred Hauser Gracyalny, Lorraine Krueger (Lloyd) and Marvin Modl; and her brothers-in-law, George Engel, John Engel (Dottie) and Norbert Giesen.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Jean Roovers (Karl), Mark Engel (Lynn) and Steven Engel; her sister-in-law Dorothy Giesen; her grandchildren, Emily Roovers (Adam Geiser), Elizabeth Roovers, Samantha Roovers (Tom Johnson), Christian Roovers (Caitlin), Faustine Engel, Miles Engel, Laura Looker (AJ) and Gabrielle Engel (John-Luke Parlow); and her great grandchildren, Isabelle Cherny, Arlo Geiser, Micah Shields, Koda Shields, Nora Johnson, Cassidy Roovers, Waverly Roovers, Alden Roovers, Teagan Engel, Finnean Looker, Elliott Looker and Griffin Looker. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
