She was predeceased by: her father Joseph Quella; her husband Bud Kangas; her son Mike Kangas; her grandson Jake Kangas; and her siblings, Tom, Rich, Ken, Bill, Ray Quella and Joann Reitzner.
She is survived by: her children, Joe Kangas (Karen), Andy Kangas (Shari), Green Bay and Bobbi Emmers (Tom) of Nashville, TN; her grandchildren, Becky Brindle, Scott Emmers, Brett Emmers, Jack Kangas, Amy Kangas-Matthesen, Mary Kangas-Daharsh and Mitch Kangas; and her great grandchildren, Mason, Alexa Brindle, Andrew Emmers and Adalyn Ann Matthesen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
