He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Ralph "Charlie" Seifert, MD and Joan Mildred Seifert (Clemas); his parents-in-law, Davis and Gertrude Searl; his brother Mark; his siblings-in-law, Deanne Seifert and Dan Piper; and his pet Roscoe.
He is survived by: his wife Christine; his children, Jennifer Hughes (Michael), Kathryn Harris (Jason), Michael Seifert, Emily Collins (Brian) and Margaret Schaefer (Jeffrey); his grandchildren, Brett (Marilee), Cole, Kevin (Morgan), Kylie, Tyler, Caleb, Megan, Cameron, Riley, Evan, Breckin, Jake and Kooper; his siblings, Luke Seifert (Kathy), Anne Bruckner (Steve), John Seifert (Mary), Paul Seifert (Renee) and James Seifert (Shelly); Susan Piper, Kathryn Searl (Alan Frey) and Charles Searl (Sheri). He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Faith Lutheran Church (601 E Glendale Ave, Appleton, WI 54911). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org) or Faith Lutheran Church in Appleton, Wisconsin, two organizations dear to Matt's heart.
