He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Loop and Henry Vander Loop; his siblings, Pat Hartl and Jack; his sister-in-law Angela Vander Loop; his brother Gary Vander Loop; his siblings-in-law, Nan Vander Loop, Robert Swanningson, Russ Natrop, Reuben Schley, Norm Schley, Randy Vander Heiden and Peter Vander Heiden; and his parents-in-law, Lloyd and Mildred Vander Heiden.
He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Eric Vander Loop (Karen) and Lana Shulse (Jeff); his grandsons, Alex, Will and Austin; his siblings, Dick Vander Loop (Jan), Joe Vander Loop (Rose), Tim Vander Loop (Bonnie), Tom Vander Loop (Angela), Jim Vander Loop (Sherry), Betty Natrop, Ann Swanningson, Judy Schley and Peggy Popp (Nick); his siblings-in-law, John Hartl, Bill Vander Heiden (Margie), Bob Vander Heiden (Deb), Mark Vander Heiden (Sue), Mary Vander Loop, Joyce Lamers (Tom) and Betty Senso (Guy); and his godchildren, Carrie Salmi and Jestin Schmidt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
