He was predeceased by : his parents, Otto Bucher and Ida Smazal (Smazal); and his sisters, Eileen Webber and Jean Sobin.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 5th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (308 S. County Road W, Mount Calvary, WI). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 5th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
