He was predeceased by: his parents, Isabel Boom (Jansen) and Walter Vanden Boom; his sisters, Dolores Vander Zanden and Rose Keller; and his brothers-in-law, Don Vander Zanden, Chuck Keller, Norm Allen and Jim Walters.
He is survived by: his wife Lawana Walters (Lou); his children, Bill Vanden Boom, Lynn Olson (Gayle), Paula Gutsmiedl, Gail Perry (Paul), Bruce Vanden Boom, Scott Vanden Boom and Brad Vanden Boom; his grandchildren, Andrew Vanden Boom (Libby), Brant Olson (Amy Rettler), Kara Phelps (Adam), Nate Olson (Lindsay Weymouth), Jamie Wyngaard (Adam), Alison Nielsen (Peter), Mitch Perry (Sarah Katz), Ahnika Vanden Boom, Vance Vanden Boom, Isabella Vanden Boom and Lilliana Vanden Boom; his great grandchildren, Asher, Lucia, Harper, Paxton, Olive, River, Raegan and Parker; his sister Betty Allen; and his sister-in-law Nancy Kelly (Steve). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
