She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Petzold and Ruth Petzold (Schwartz); her husband Peter Houk; and her brothers, Edgar and Merlin.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Whitney (John), Debbie Peterson, Sue Pierquet (Dan) and Ken Katchenago (Brenda); and her grandchildren, Jack Whitney, Tom Whitney (Becca), Peter Peterson (Lisa), Tim Peterson, Mike Pierquet, Lee Pierquet (Heidi), Allie Hrabe (Josh), Evan Pierquet (Alex), Chris Lukaska (Gail), Angela Katchenago, Jessica Bucio (Adrian) and Jenny Rappert. She is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
