He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Kersten and Josephine Kersten (Eppinger); and his wives, Bonnie Krueger, Nancy Bowers (Clarence), Betty Kersten and Joan Jaeckels (Jim).
He is survived by: his daughter Janet Tegge (Bob) of Menasha; and his siblings, Charlotte Bloy (Adolph), Marion Zwick, Bob Kersten (Mary) and Mike Kersten (Carrie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial fund has been established for Fox Valley Lutheran High School.
