Hinz and Amanda Hinz (Schoenick); his stepfather Harold; his in-laws, Paul and Meta Rohloff; his siblings, Marge Schleitwiler (Norm), Phyllis Winkler Hass (Les), Doris Falk (Ken) and Ken Hinz (Marilyn); and his siblings-in-law, Paul Rohloff (Verna), Carl Rohloff (Bernice), Robert Rohloff (Donna), Harvey Rohloff, Ken Rohloff (Cleone), Louise Albrecht (Les), Ruth Smith (Bob), Dorothy Hanson (Ernie) and Alice Peterson (Elroy).
He is survived by: his children, Richard P. Hinz, Lisa Semrau (Scott) and Lori Hansen (Don); his grandchildren, Nathan Magee, Trisha Meisner (Todd), Tyler Semrau (Aimee) and Kayla Rogers (Chase); his great grandchildren, Noelle Olivia Meisner and Luca Buzz Meissner; his caregiver Ashley; Karissa, Josh Ring, Jay, Shelley Vanderhoof, Ben, Heather and Erica of ThedaCare Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to benefit Mount Olive Ev. Lutheran Church or Fox Valley Lutheran High School.
