With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita Wessing (Appleton, Wisconsin), born in Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on July 7, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dennis Scott and Frieda Scott (Wiegand); her husband Reinhart J. Wessing; her daughters, Mary and Bridget Wessing; her brother Donald Scott (Jane); and her niece Sandra Scott.
She is survived by: her children, Therese Canales (Al), Mark and Matthew Wessing; and her grandchildren, Alex Duff (Lynda), Megan Duff, William, Beth Canales, Nick Wessing (Tamarine), Steve Wessing and Emily Cohen (Mike). She is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren and 2 more on the way; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Appleton; Harbor House, or your local Meals on Wheels organization.
