With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Schmidt (Appleton, Wisconsin), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 2, 2026 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schmidt and Clara Schmidt (Griesbach); his siblings, Melvin, Don, Tony (Joanne), Francis, Charlie (Ann) and Marion Thiel (Lenny); his niece Kelly Schmidt; and his brother-in-law Don Weyenberg.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara (DeLeeuw) of Mary's Catholic Church; his siblings, Ray Schmidt and Milly Weyenberg; and his sisters-in-law, Judy Schmidt and Mary Schmidt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
