It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Williamson (Appleton, Wisconsin), who passed away on October 13, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Robert may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Williamson and Regina Williamson (Vande Burgt); and his parents-in-law, Wilmer and Joyce Schmitt. He is survived by: his wife Mary Schmitt; his children, Sarah and Robert Jr.; and his siblings, Kenneth Williamson, Joyce Lejay and Sandra Shepherd. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, in-laws and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Valley Funeral Home (2211 N Richmond St, Appleton, WI 54911). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
