He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Seefeldt and Patricia Seefeldt (Champion-Taylor); and his brother Gary. He is survived by: his wife Shipra; his children, Greg and Anjali (Graeme); his granddaughter Priya; his stepgranddaughters, Evy, Vivi and Lia; his sister Karen (George); his nephews, Jesse, Joel and Kelly; his sister Robin (Bob); his brother-in-law Som (Maya); his niece Katya; and his nephew Kiron.

Ron was passionate about his work and made numerous and significant contributions to the pulp and paper industry.
