It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley D. Spychalla of Appleton, Wisconsin, who passed away on March 3, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Betty Eulalia Holmberg Hopkins and Fayette Mortimer Hopkins; her siblings, Merilean Young (James), Phyllis Young (Dale), Faye Wolf (Paul), Betty Krohn (Richard), Patrick Hopkins, Lee Hopkins, Gary Hopkins (Barbara) and Allen Hopkins (Rose); and her granddaughter Elizabeth Westby.
She is survived by: her children, Dean Spychalla (Sherell), Terri Westby (Alan), Jeanne Lietzan (Ernie) and Dana O'Hara Cowdrey (Michael); her grandchildren, Ilianna Spychalla, Alexa Spychalla, Sophia Spychalla, Ryan Harrison, Teresa Westby Breitrick, Russell Westby, Ernie Lietzan, Jessica Lietzan, Alex Lietzan, Paul Lietzan, Matthew Lietzan, Anna Lietzan Schroeder, Tommy Sellman, Jenna Sellman Wischhover, Spencer O'Hara and Lance O'Hara; and her great grandchildren, Sofia, Alexia, Nicholas, Reagan, Sophie, James, Elisabeth, Friedrick, Caroline, Caleb, Max, Rosemary, Eloise, Paige, Luke, Paul, Jack, June, Henry, Heidi, Frederick, Beau, Blake, Savannah, Aksel, Elle, Easton, Calvin, Austin and Eli.
